signs of the southern cross....

We're inactive but nobody gives a fuck just like ever before.
justins married and trims trees and we barely talk, andy doesnt exist, zach moved to orlando to go to full sail(i miss you my man), our new drummer chris crashed his moms ride into an old stone carriage house. subsequently got his license takin away. Im(josh) currently rebuilding the stone wall because my company got contracted for it(hmm go FUCKING FIGURE), i havent told anybody on the job that though- other than that im at work 6/7 days a week fixing your fucking stone wall or your piece of shit porch and really don't do jack shit else except try to play as much guitar as i can when im not watching American Dad(fuck you) or making love to mother nature.

Justin and I moved all the gear down to eldersburg at the rousey ranch where some seriously cool cats reside. We have jammed once in the month that all the gears been there, so- eh. It went very well though, Justin and I really do have very many skelentons of songs I wrote and that he wrote that we both know from memory. So we spent most of the time getting chad to do his thing. Uncle John played harp on this riff i wrote a few times we jammed it and i was floored and to me it was magical and i havent had a musical experience(concerts included) like that in a long time.

yeah so i guess if we're not broken up we're just fucked up (what else is new)
we'll see what we decide to do

oh yeah theres a record recorded that needs to be mastered and i know or i would assume ex-label at this point since its been 2 years since its due date for a record nobody cared about in the first place. they do not have interest in putting out unless we tour a bunch. ain't gonna happen and we are not gonna get fill ins and bull shit our way across this country in already over crowded tour route. what we write is real and personal and we will jam the fuck out and write when we have the chance. however it is 9 songs, 30 minutes...its heavier than any stupid fucking band like Bad Seed(.....jesus christ people). Unless we press it ourselves i doubt it will come out.

so cheers ya'll!!!

Imaginary Mirror

My mind is alive, annihilate space and time!

Yo whats up! we're still illin' believe it or not. We still practice at least once a week and have been writing new songs and with the depature of Jon and subsequently the addition of Chris, honing old songs down with a somewhat changed approach in line-up. We gigged back in January and it wasn't so bad! Right now the focus has been on writing new songs and more recently urgent, getting the record out as soon as we can! Hell, thinking about that, if it had come out when we were finsihed recording we'd have been nowhere near ready to support the album. Still though, its been too long and well, we're going to do our best...stay tuned for something in carroll county regarding a benefit show so we can raise some money to put it out!

dealt the blues

In order to make honest music i feel like you at least have to believe in karma or more simply put, receive what you put into this world. In modern day "society", creative substance is put together in lackadaisical fashion and subsequently has basically defeated any soul that was lucky enough to find it's way over time. To me, many people may never be willing to tune into themselves and others around them and walk blindly down their own (self)righteous path. That's fine though, that leaves plenty of what could be good karma, left to come in my direction. It provides me with an answer when times come that i continually question intentions and realities of myself and everyone around me...Proving that those (not nihilist) live in fear of the image of ourself in somebody elses mind.

Contrary to what a lot of people often times say about music these days... i can see that the sense of community is only getting greater and that all walks of musical life are being accepted into homes across the globe daily. While music has always been the "single most greatest" influences in my life i can't say that i have been affected by any one thing in an extreme sense. Even writing music (lyrics earlier on, lyrics as well as music later) i can't say that i always felt i was one hundered perecent behind what i was saying. However a few years back when we got offered to do a record for a label of course we had to choose songs to record for that because frankly, we have a lot(that we dont play haha). When we decided songs i of course took care of the vocals, lyrics, pattern, ideas, backups, etc etc.

Now here i am screaming words i wrote at the top of my lungs ... thinking a few things. First of all that im not that good at recording, second that if i'm screaming this shit that loud i better fucking mean it. I've read the lyrics to our songs through and through, i've also sang them time and time again. Now there is a very big difference between both methods of recounting your own words(singing lyrics as opposed to reading lyrics). Not neccesarily knowing what a particular line refers to is somewhat of an going theme in some of our songs. Looking back at that now, in reference and comparison has been so important to the way i have written songs. Leaving an outlined drawing on the canvas for the listener to paint. There have been a few lines from songs more straight forward that i have doubted myself over because of possible misinterpreation, but have followed through with original lyrics because i know what they stand for and you can't always take words for exactly how they're spelled out and put in order. Sometimes it requires looking a little deeper into the song, and possibly into yourself to find the real connection. ....

because you will always find a real connection if you fancy listening to our music. I endure bands that i can physically feel have no heart. I endure people that i can physically feel have no heart. The sound waves coming from our speakers may not be one hundered percent positive but it will always be real, coming straight from our fingers and throats.

F*CK YOU GRAVE DIGGER

2. The Great Dissapearer
3. Power Trippin'
4. Annhiliate Now
5. No Heaven (for a free mason)
6. American Dreams
7. Chill Pill
8. Most Loved for The Most Hated
9. Dead by 27

yeah so i thunked up a name for that new jam (track 6) i think this is the order it will go, willing to put money on no one really offering up advice on the tracklist! i have 3 sogns left so just saying we were 99% done was just silly i suppose. working it out as best as i can with Joe, he's awfully kind and understanding. However a few others have not been. Not gonna let it phase me though, i was never one to really force anything out of myself anyhow. We bailed hard on our june 8th show with Decades from TX and believe me i feel like a tool for that one. Sorry guys. No one else seemed to really be bothered though! Practicing with the new drummer dude once or twice, time to buckle down and get it going if we want to make it down to Significant Fest (our first real out of state fest, we played MD metal&hardcore 2 years). Mike C has mostly finished the cover art so that leaves me finishing the rest of the layout i wish i could have derek or pete over my shoulder this time....i'm going to have to pitch to them exactly what we want so we we know exactly what the outcome will be. That's where we are now, 3 songs left, most of the album packaging on its way to completion. After that it will be time to release. hopefully soon so we can have this drop the same time as 2 of our other favorite bands are releasing records later this summer (see: Clutch & Every Time I Die) Stranges Cousins from the west and New Junk Aesthethic . Real pumped. Hopefully see you soon?
